DARK SKIES LIGHT THE WAY
Our Distillery sits alongside the Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park which, in 2009, became the 1st Dark Sky Park in the UK and western Europe. At the time, only the 4th Dark Sky Park in the world.
Once the sun sets on 300 square miles of breathtaking rugged wilderness that is the Galloway Forest Park, the magic of the night time appears with an inky-blue sky garden studded with flickering and sparkling stars. Enthusiasts come from all over to stand in awe, wonder and amazement at the vast star scattered universe and the shimmering glow of light which is revealed above them. From here, Andrew took his inspiration to create something to mirror our unique surroundings: the Dark Art Distillery was born.
The Art of Distilling
Our luxurious spirits have been crafted through the enthusiasm of our founder, Andrew, and the skill of our distillers. Sky Garden Gin marked the debut of our spirits, distilled with care and passion using our beautiful custom-built still, Peggy, and incorporating botanicals that capture the essence of a twinkling night. Continuing our dedication to crafting exceptional spirits, we are proud to introduce Under Story and Scotland's first Agave spirit, Véspero
DARK ART DISTILLERY TOURS
We are delighted to open our doors and welcome guests to take a tour of Dark Art Distillery. During your tour, you will hear more about the distillery, discover the craft behind our spirits, and see our beautiful custom-built still, Peggy. Tours will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and will conclude with a tasting of our luxurious spirits.
